Terms of Service
Last updated 7 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Tech N Byte LLC ("we", "us"), the company that makes and runs CarrotPOS. By creating an account or using CarrotPOS you agree to them.
1. Who we are
CarrotPOS is a cloud point-of-sale, inventory and accounting service provided by Tech N Byte LLC, a limited liability company in the United States. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract for the business you register.
- The information you give when registering must be accurate, and you must keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for everyone you invite to your account, the roles you give them, and keeping passwords private. Tell us straight away at [email protected] if you think your account has been accessed without permission.
- New accounts are reviewed before activation. We may decline an account at our discretion.
3. Plans, billing and payment
- Plans are billed monthly in advance, in the currency shown when you subscribe. Prices are listed on our pricing page.
- Payments are processed by our payment partners (such as Stripe and SSLCommerz) or by bank transfer. We do not store your card details.
- If an invoice is not paid by its due date your account becomes past due. While past due, access is limited to the billing pages until the balance is paid. Your data is kept during this time.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. Changes apply from your next billing period.
- Fees are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy. Prices do not include any taxes your local authority may charge on the subscription itself.
4. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time by contacting [email protected] or through in-app Support. Cancelling stops the next charge; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
5. Your data
- You own the business data you enter into CarrotPOS (products, sales, customers, accounts and so on). We use it only to provide and support the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- For personal data about your own customers and staff, you are the controller and we process it on your behalf, following your instructions.
- You can ask for an export of your data at any time. When an account is closed, personal data is anonymised; financial records are kept where the law requires them to be.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use CarrotPOS for anything unlawful, including fraud, money laundering or selling prohibited goods;
- try to access another business's data, probe or break our security, or overload the service;
- copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the service, except where the law allows it;
- upload malicious code or content you do not have the right to use.
We may suspend an account that breaks these rules or puts the service or other customers at risk.
7. Your responsibilities for records and tax
CarrotPOS calculates tax and produces accounting reports from the settings and data you provide. You are responsible for choosing correct tax rates and settings, checking your records, and meeting your own tax, accounting and legal obligations. CarrotPOS is a tool, not professional accounting, tax or legal advice.
8. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep CarrotPOS available and to back up your data, but we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve, change or remove features. If we make a change that materially reduces what your plan includes, we will tell you in advance.
9. Third-party services
Some features rely on other providers, such as payment processors, email delivery and optional AI features. Their own terms may also apply when you use those features.
10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, CarrotPOS is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Termination
You may stop using CarrotPOS at any time. We may suspend or close an account for non-payment or for breaking these terms, normally after giving notice. Sections 5, 7, 10 and 12 continue after termination.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled by the courts located in New Mexico, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For significant changes we will notify account owners by email or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use CarrotPOS after that means you accept the updated terms.
