For retail shops
Retail POS software that keeps your stock and books in step
Ring up sales fast at the counter, print receipts on your thermal printer and let CarrotPOS take care of the rest: every sale lowers stock at the right store and posts a balanced accounting entry, so your numbers are never out of date.

What you get
Barcode scanning
Use a USB scanner, or the camera on a phone or tablet. No barcodes yet? CarrotPOS creates store barcodes and prints EAN-13 label sheets for you.
Receipts on any thermal printer
Print 58mm or 80mm receipts straight from the browser, or email a receipt to the customer. Your logo and business details go on every invoice.
Returns, exchanges and refunds
Refund a whole sale or just some items, or swap them for something else in one step. Every refund needs a manager or owner's approval, and stock goes back on the shelf at its original cost.
Shifts and cash drawer
Open a shift with a float, record cash in and out, and close with a count. Overs and shorts are posted to the books automatically.
Loyalty points and coupons
Customers earn points on every purchase and redeem them at the till. Create coupon codes with usage limits.
Customers on credit
Sell on account up to a credit limit, take payments later, and print a statement of everything a customer owes.
Self-checkout kiosk
Let customers scan and pay by card on their own at a kiosk, using the same prices, tax and stock as the counter.
More than one store
On the Growth and Business plans, run several stores and warehouses, move stock between them, and limit each staff member to their own store.

Questions
Do I need special POS hardware?
No. CarrotPOS runs in a web browser on a PC, tablet or phone. Any USB barcode scanner works, and receipts print on ordinary 58mm or 80mm thermal printers.
Can cashiers see reports or change prices?
Not unless you allow it. Each role (owner, manager, cashier and others) only sees what it needs, and discounts above your limit need a manager's approval.
What happens to stock when I make a sale?
It goes down at the store's location in the same step that records the sale and posts the accounting entry, so stock, sales and books always agree.
